Empowering veterinary students with the IVC Evidensia EMS Bursary

We know how daunting it can be to complete the Extra Mural Studies (EMS) required by your university. We are breaking down barriers to accessing the best possible placement for you with our new IVC Evidensia EMS Bursary. The bursary offers financial support to allow for more choice when deciding where to go for placement. We are delighted to confirm a continued investment of £250,000 in EMS bursaries for students like you.

We are committed to developing the next generation of skilled and experienced veterinary surgeons. In addition to supporting your clinical development while on placement in our practices, including Vets Now, across the UK, this bursary will remove financial barriers that may prevent you from following your dreams and gaining the experience that you desire.

Applications will be open to all veterinary students undertaking clinical EMS, from third to final year, in an IVC Evidensia practice (including Vets Now) that is either already arranged or to be confirmed. Those demonstrating financial hardship will be prioritised.

The IVC Evidensia EMS bursaries will be released in three stages during 2024 the end of February, at the end April and at the end of June. This will allow for multiple application deadlines and ensure students have every opportunity to apply.

Please note EMS placements are only for those already studying to be a vet at university.
