Be part of the future of ECC at Blaise

Our brand-new referral hospital is designed with emergency and critical care at the very core. We know ECC plays a pivotal role in providing vital support to clinicians from other disciplines when they face challenging situations, or when patients arrive in critical emergencies. Blaise is built around the principle of multi-disciplinary working, with all our skilled teams working together to achieve the best outcome for our patients. Our ECC experts at Blaise will skilfully stabilise patients before they receive specialised care from the appropriate dedicated disciplines.

On hand during the beginning phase of Blaise's life are team members from our already established Vets Now ECC hospitals in Glasgow and Manchester, there to support our developing Blaise team, which will build relationships and develop professional support across our network.

Where passion meets purpose, you'll find our ECC teams, delivering the highest standard of care to animals in need.

Being Blaise

Opening in November 2023, Blaise Referral Hospital, in Longbridge, Birmingham will herald the first purpose-built multi-disciplinary hospital in the UK at the very heart of the IVC Evidensia Referrals network.

Our team of dedicated specialist vets, referral clinicians and veterinary nurses will collaborate to offer a new kind of referral service at Blaise Referrals. By harnessing everyone’s unique talents, knowledge and experience we are a hospital that allows careers to flourish, confidence to grow and our people to develop.

Our goal is to be a truly rewarding place to work and a hospital that delivers the highest standards of care for our patients.

Hear it for yourself:

"The teams here are full of incredible people.

At the end of the day, as an emergency vet, I could work in a lot of different places. However, the people here are unique.

We have our good days where we celebrate together for those great cases where the animal goes home fixed, and everyone is happy. We also have days when things are harder, and it’s during those days that you benefit from the people around you that support and care for you.

I’ve always felt support as well in my learning. If mistakes happen, the leaders are there to help, and we know we're going to learn from this experience and move on. These are the things that really make a difference."

- Lara Brunori, Resident in Emergency and Critical Care with IVC Evidensia
