Day or night, Blaise referrals shines bright

Built from the ground-up with input from the clinical teams, Blaise Referrals is designed with emergency and critical care at the very core. From providing vital support to clinicians from other disciplines when they face challenging situations, or when patients arrive in critical emergencies, Blaise is built around the principle of multi-disciplinary working. All our skilled teams work together to achieve the best outcome for our patients.

Being part of Blaise means you're joining the first purpose-built multi-disciplinary hospital in the UK at the very heart of the IVC Evidensia Referrals network. Our team of dedicated specialist vets, referral clinicians and veterinary nurses collaborate to offer a new kind of referral service. By harnessing everyone’s unique talents, knowledge and experience we are a hospital that allows careers to flourish, confidence to grow and our people to develop.

Where passion meets purpose, you'll find our teams, delivering the highest standard of care to animals in need.

Hear it for yourself:

"The teams here are full of incredible people. At the end of the day, as an emergency vet, I could work in a lot of different places. However, the people here are unique.

We have our good days where we celebrate together for those great cases where the animal goes home fixed, and everyone is happy. We also have days when things are harder, and it’s during those days that you benefit from the people around you that support and care for you. I’ve always felt support as well in my learning. If mistakes happen, the leaders are there to help, and we know we're going to learn from this experience and move on. These are the things that really make a difference."

- Lara Brunori, Resident in Emergency and Critical Care with IVC Evidensia

“No day here is the same, you learn to expect the unexpected and get to use all your nursing skills to their full potential. The learning never stops and there’s a whole team of amazing veterinary professionals to offer you support and help grow your career.

One of our great strengths is having created an environment where we feel comfortable to ask for help or training. Blaise is centred around collegiality and believes all patients are 'Blaise patients' and the whole hospital becomes a part of a patient's journey to recovery. I feel proud to be a part of what we here at Blaise feel is something truly special.”

- Sophie Powell, lead out-of-hours nurse
