Veterinary Surgeon – Orthopaedic Surgery

Dublin | Multi-site Roving Role

Full-time, Part-time or Flexible Working Options Available

Highly Competitive Salary – Commensurate with Experience

An Orthopaedic Role Designed Around Your Expertise

We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon to join our Dublin-based network of established practices in specialist, roving capacity. This role is designed for a confident clinician who wants to focus on advanced orthopaedic surgery while benefiting from autonomy, flexibility, and excellent clinical support.

Whether you’re looking for a full-time position, part-time hours, or a bespoke working pattern that fits around existing commitments, we are open to designing a schedule that works for you. Simply put – tell us what suits your life and your caseload.

The Role

In this roving specialist position, you will work across several well-equipped Dublin practices (including Anicare, Ark Vetcare, Raheny, Shenick and more), acting as a visiting orthopaedic surgeon supporting both referral and complex first opinion surgical cases.

You’ll work alongside highly experienced veterinary teams and dedicated nursing support, allowing you to focus on what you do best: orthopaedic diagnostics, surgical planning, and operative care. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that suits a surgeon who enjoys variety, collaboration, and delivering gold-standard outcomes without the administrative burden of running referral services alone.

Across all sites, you’ll have access to excellent facilities and modern equipment, with teams that value preparation, communication and clinical excellence.

About You

This role is suited to a VCI-registered Veterinary Surgeon with recognised postgraduate training or certification in Orthopaedic Surgery. You’ll have solid, proven experience managing orthopaedic cases independently and confidently, along with a genuine commitment to the highest standards of patient and client care.

Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to adapt easily across different clinical environments are all key. As this is a roving position, a full clean driving license and comfort travelling between Dublin practices is essential.

Why Join Us

This role allows you to focus on your surgical strengths, while enjoying the security, infrastructure and support of a large, progressive veterinary group. You’ll benefit from a highly competitive salary, annual pay reviews, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both professional growth and personal wellbeing.

Benefits (subject to pro-rata)

Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll have access to a comprehensive benefits package including:
