We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for ophthalmology to join our team at Rowe Veterinary Referrals.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be used to working under pressure effectively with high attention to detail and be in a fast-paced environment. Understanding on use of capnography and multiparameter monitors (NIBP, IVPB, capnography, ECG) ventilators and experience in referral practice is preferable, however ophthalmology experience is not a must as full training is given.
Clinical duties include admission/discharge of patients, provision of perioperative medications, assistance in the induction of anaesthesia, monitoring of anaesthesia, preparing patients for surgery, theatre assistance, recovery of patients, instrument cleaning and care.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Rowe Referrals, whilst the majority of your week will be focused in the ophthalmology department you will get the opportunity to work across our referral department, working within our soft tissue, oncology, dentistry, neurology, diagnostic imaging and orthopaedic teams.

Working hours/rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, over 5 days. Shifts typically run between 8:00 am and 7:00pm with an on-call rota of 1 in 5 (1 weeknight and the weekend) for which you will receive additional overtime pay.
