Blaise Veterinary Referral Centre is a large-scale, multi-disciplinary, specialist-led referral hospital which encompasses the culture and values we provide ourselves on at IVC Evidensia. Blaise has added to our extensive referral network, which now consists of over 100 referral sites across the UK & Ireland. In addition to our referral teams on site, the 24-hour hospital is home to our Vets Now at Blaise emergency service.

As a Wards RVN, you’ll provide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse caseload of hospitalised patients. Your responsibilities will include monitoring critical patients, administering treatments, managing nutrition plans, and ensuring the comfort of all inpatients. Working closely with our veterinary surgeons and support staff, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and the highest standards of patient care.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be a qualified RVN with the confidence to work independently when necessary. While referral experience is a plus, we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success, and we welcome applications from RVNs with varying levels of experience and backgrounds. Additional qualifications, such as certifications, are beneficial, and you should be able to demonstrate strong clinical competence in standard nursing protocols.

Working Pattern 


This full-time position consists of a 40-hour workweek, following a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, which includes weeknights, weekends, and bank holidays. We offer two set shift schedules, and we’re seeking someone who can consistently commit to a 6:00 am to 5:25 pm shift for two days, followed by an 11:00 am to 10:25 pm shift for the next two days.
