As the Wards Clinical Team Leader, you will lead and manage a dedicated team of Nurses and Animal Care Assistants (ACAs), ensuring excellent patient care within the hospital. You will work closely with clinicians from all disciplines to deliver individualised, gold-standard care to hospitalised patients. Your role will also involve overseeing team workflow, ensuring procedures are completed in a timely manner and according to company SOPs. Additionally, you will support the development and training of your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, while proactively managing staffing levels to meet service demand.

Opened in 2019 and purpose-built to industry leading standards, Swift Referrals is a multidisciplinary referral hospital offering the very best in veterinary excellence, all under one roof. We specialise in the areas of orthopaedics, neurology, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery, housing world-class facilities on our premises from advanced imaging machines to specialist treatment and aftercare rooms. We have 1.5T Siemens MRI scanner, 128 Slice GE CT scanner, doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, arthroscopy and state-of-the-art operating theatres, and separate dog and cat wards. We also have a dedicated ECC and OOH centre which houses a large ICU for our critical patients. Is this the role for you?
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership experience, preferably in a referral hospital environment. You will possess strong organisational and problem-solving skills, enabling you to manage workloads efficiently. You will be a compassionate and approachable leader, inspiring and developing your team while maintaining excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster professional relationships across the hospital. A commitment to delivering the highest standard of patient and client care, aligned with the values of IVC Evidensia, is essential.
A Working Pattern to Suit You
This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week, worked over 4 or 5 days. There is also a 1:4 weekend rota.
