We are excited to offer a position for an ECVS accredited Standard Residency Program at Pride Veterinary Referrals.
The successful candidate will have a high level of motivation and enthusiasm and be able to work as an integral part of our experienced team. Applicants must have completed a rotating internship or internship equivalent (at least 2 years of clinical experience) and demonstrate an interest in clinical research. They must have MRCVS registration and have evidence of Right to Work in the UK. A good command of written and spoken English is required.
About Us
Pride Veterinary Referrals is a teaching hospital working in collaboration with University of Nottingham Veterinary School. The hospital is located on Pride Park, in close proximity to Derby City Centre, Nottingham, the Derbyshire Dales and with good air and rail links. The hospital benefits from specialist led teams in Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia, Imaging and an onsite Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy department. Our friendly teams collaborate to deliver high standards of care to all our patients. We have a varied and challenging soft tissue and orthopaedic caseload, and our own Vets@Night service for inpatient care throughout the night.

The hospital has thirteen consultation rooms, four inpatient wards and an ICU, five fully equipped theatres, a 16 slice CT scanner, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, arthroscopy, fluoroscopy, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic equipment, Biomedtrix hip kit and standard and locking plate systems. The successful candidate will join a team of four specialist surgeons and two other surgical residents (year 2 and 3), three surgical interns and a dedicated nursing team. Twelve weeks per year off clinics for externships, research and study leave.
