We are delighted to invite applications for a Neurology Internship position at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists. Successful applicants will work alongside our team of boarded Neurology Specialists, Residents, and a dedicated nursing team within a large multidisciplinary practice, renowned for clinical excellence.

This internship is particularly suitable for those wishing to pursue a Neurology Residency. You will be involved in a wide variety of challenging cases, participate in weekly teaching rounds, and gain experience in Neurology.


Hours Aimed to Achieve a Work-Life Balance


  • This is a full-time position with hours varying week to week.

  • Most day shifts are 8.00 am to 6.30 pm, but some flexibility is required based on case pressure within the practice.

  • You will also be required to work in a rota covering on-call, nights, weekends, and a share of bank holidays.

  • What You’ll Need


  • Applicants should have a strong and demonstrable interest in Neurology.

  • They should already have completed a one-year rotating internship and/or a one-year neurology-specific internship.

  • Experience of working in general small animal practice would be an advantage.

  • Candidates must have excellent spoken and written English and good communication skills.

  • Candidates must be members of the RCVS.
