We have an opportunity for an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon to work as an intern in a busy orthopaedic referral centre alongside an RCVS/ECVS specialist in small animal surgery. In the role, you can expect to work 40 hours a week 08:00 till 17:00 Monday to Friday and 1:3 weekends on call with a Saturday morning GP clinic.
This internship is designed to help the candidate develop their curriculum vitae in preparation for residency application, although desire to pursue as residency is not a prerequisite.
The position equally suits a veterinary surgeon who wishes to maintain their general practice skillset while developing their orthopaedic knowledge.

Our current case load for orthopaedics varies between 20-25 new cases a week.
Our orthopaedic department is currently comprised of two clinicians: an ECVS Diplomate and a Cert AVP Holder. In addition to this, our general practice has a team of experienced vets and both departments benefit from a team of exceptional nurses and support staff, most of whom have been with the practice many years.
