The surgical team delivers specialist led care across soft tissue and orthopaedics, collaborating with our other disciplines to provide the best possible outcome for all our patients. Our team is composed of four specialist surgeons, three surgical residents, three surgical interns and a dedicated nursing team. We have a varied and challenging soft tissue and orthopaedic caseload, and our own Vets@Night service for inpatient care throughout the night.
About us
Pride Veterinary Referrals is a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary referral hospital, with specialist lead teams in Surgery, Medicine, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia, and an onsite Physiotherapy-Hydrotherapy department. We strive to deliver world class patient care, and our facilities provide a superb environment, including 13 consultation rooms, 7 inpatient wards, including a dedicated intensive care unit, 5 fully equipped theatres, 16 slice CT scanner, a 1.5 Testla MRI, arthroscopy, fluoroscopy, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic equipment, BioMedtrix hip kit and standard and locking implant systems. Pride Veterinary Centre is a referral teaching hospital working in collaboration with University of Nottingham Veterinary School. This provides the opportunity to support teaching and research interests.
Required skills and experience
The successful candidate will have a high level of motivation and enthusiasm, be able to work as an integral part of our experienced team and have strong client communication skills. Applicants should have completed a rotating internship and demonstrate an interest in clinical research. They must have MRCVS registration and have evidence of Right to Work in the UK. A good command of written and spoken English is required.
