Are you a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for feline medicine and a desire to work in a truly cat-focused environment? We’re excited to be opening a brand-new feline-only practice in Bridgwater and are seeking a dedicated Vet to join us at this exciting stage.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Vet, ideally holding a feline medicine certificate, who enjoys delivering high-quality clinical care in a calm, cat-friendly setting and has a desire to help build something truly special for cats in our area.

 
This role has been designed with feline welfare at its core. You’ll be working in a purpose-built, cat-only practice that prioritises low-stress handling, longer consultation times, and gold-standard clinical care.
 
Whether you already hold a certificate or have a strong interest in feline medicine, you’ll be supported to further develop your expertise in a collaborative and progressive environment.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     

    As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

     

    You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

  • Building strong client relationships
  • Managing feline medical cases
  • Performing routine surgeries and dentistry

    Working Pattern

     
  • Flexibility to accommodate full-time or part-time working
  • Ideally either 40 hours per week across 5 days with weekends off, or 38 hours across 4 days
  • No out-of-hours or Sunday commitments
  • Minimal weekend requirement, with Saturday mornings on a rota basis

    You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:

     
  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
