Kingsway Vet Group has an exciting opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team on a permanent basis This role is based at our busy Skipton veterinary Hospital alongside our fantastic team of certificate holders in a range of different disciplines. The role will involve consultations, surgery, hospital and inpatient shifts, and emergency and out-of-hours care alongside the usual first opinion duties. A typical full time role would involve working 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days dependent on shift patterns. Our out-of-hours rota consists of working 1 week in 6 on-call between the hours of 5 pm and 8:30am. When working on call in the evening you are not required on the day shift rota. You are required to work 1 weekend in 6 on-call.

Our team consists of 8 vets, 13 RVN’s, 1 SVN plus supportive administration team including Clinical Director Beth Laycock and Practice Director Susan Pearson. The team are down-to-earth, friendly and look forward to welcoming a new member of staff to the team. You will be supported by multidisciplinary certificate holders, we have certificate holders in Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Small Animal Medicine and Emergency Critical Care and also Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging and one of our vets also holds Advanced Practitioner status in surgery - CPD and further qualifications are supported and encouraged. Our Nurses are on site every day and night taking great care of our inpatients as we are pleased to offer our own out of hours.
