About Cedar Grove
Cedar Grove is a forward-thinking, RCVS-accredited small animal hospital, providing high-quality first-opinion care alongside a growing referral caseload. While we primarily treat cats and dogs, our cases offer a well-balanced mix of surgery and consultations, with a slight emphasis on consults. Our modern facility features five consultation rooms, two theatres, and a dedicated diagnostic suite equipped with CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray rooms.
We take great pride in fostering a positive and collaborative work environment where teamwork is at the heart of everything we do. Our less experienced vets receive dedicated mentorship to support their growth and professional development. We actively encourage case discussions within the team, allowing for a multidisciplinary approach that benefits both our patients and our clinicians. Every team member is supported in pursuing their individual interests and career progression, ensuring a fulfilling and rewarding workplace for all.
Our surgical procedures range from routine general surgery, including neutering, to more advanced orthopaedic, neurological, abdominal, ENT, oncology, and emergency care cases.
Our passionate team of Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) run their own nurse-led clinics, covering clinical nurse consults, pet health club six-monthly checks, second vaccinations, injections, weight management, and diabetic care.
Our team
At Cedar Grove, our team consists of 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 RVNs, and 12 support staff, including certificate holders in Advanced Veterinary Practice. Additionally, three team members are currently pursuing surgical and medical certificates, and we have a visiting specialist in cardiology. We offer certificate support for anyone who wishes to pursue further qualifications, although this is completely optional.
We are proud to be active in our local community, regularly working with charities such as Cats Protection, Guide Dogs, Dogs Trust, and local animal sanctuaries.
