Cherrywood Veterinary Clinic, Dublin

Full-time, Permanent

Salary commensurate with experience

Shape the Future of Veterinary Care with Us

Are you a small animal vet seeking a rewarding role where you can deliver high-quality care, develop your clinical interests, and work alongside a supportive and skilled team?

Join Cherrywood Veterinary Clinic, Dublin, and become part of a progressive, close-knit practice with a loyal client base and a strong focus on clinical standards, teamwork, and professional growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident General Practitioner who enjoys managing their own cases and is looking to refine their skills in diagnostics, imaging, and surgery. A certificate or interest in Diagnostic Imaging will be a major advantage, and you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a specialist in endoscopy and endosurgery, gaining exposure to advanced minimally invasive procedures.

The Role

  • Position: Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal
  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
  • No on-call or OOH

  • This is a 100% small animal, clinically focused role where you’ll have the autonomy to manage your own cases and build strong client relationships. You’ll be involved in all aspects of general practice including:
  • Routine consultations and preventive healthcare
  • Soft tissue surgery and dentistry
  • Diagnostic workups and imaging
  • Collaborative case discussions and referrals

  • You’ll be supported by an experienced and friendly team, with the flexibility and encouragement to develop your own clinical niche or pursue postgraduate study in your area of interest.

    What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a capable and confident Veterinary Surgeon who values teamwork, client care, and continuous learning.

    Essential Requirements:

  • Registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland
  • Proven experience in small animal first opinion practice
  • Competent in consultations, surgery and routine diagnostics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to patient care

  • Desirable:

  • Certificate or interest in Ultrasound

  • This position is best suited to an experienced general practitioner, not a new graduate, who is ready for professional autonomy within a supportive, high-quality environment.
