Woodside Veterinary Group is looking for a passionate Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis. Located in the beautiful Royal Deeside area of Aberdeenshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive mixed practice offering a truly varied caseload across small animal, farm, and equine work.

Our caseload is approximately 55% small animal, 40% farm, and 5% equine, providing an engaging and rewarding mix of clinical work. We actively encourage vets to develop areas of individual interest and support the development of specialised roles within the team. Woodside Veterinary Group is a well-established mixed practice operating across three sites in Royal Deeside, providing high-quality care to both companion animals and farm clients across the local community.

Our practice includes:

A mixed caseload consisting of approximately 55% small animal, 40% farm animal, and 5% equine work

Advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities including ultrasound, digital radiography, video endoscopy, dental equipment, multiparameter monitoring, and in-house laboratory equipment
Strong nurse support, including nurse-led consultations helping maximise clinical efficiency
Team members with additional qualifications including a Small Animal Nutrition Certificate, Surgical Nursing Certificate, veterinary physiotherapy expertise, and OPA scanning experience
A varied small animal caseload including preventative healthcare, chronic disease management, emergency care, diagnostics, and surgery
A farm animal caseload including fertility work, herd health planning, export/import testing, pregnancy diagnosis, OPA scanning, and routine production animal care
Minimal TB testing requirements due to 4-year parish status
Limited equine workload focused on routine ambulatory care including vaccinations, dentistry, wound management, geldings, and export work

We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment where professional development, case continuity, and clinical standards are highly valued.
