Are you a caring and motivated Veterinary Surgeon looking for your next opportunity? The team at Croft Vets is excited to welcome a new colleague to our friendly, supportive, and long-established practice in the heart of Brackley. We’ve proudly served our local community for over 30 years, building trusted relationships with our clients and their pets.
A Modern, Well-Equipped Practice
Our single-site small animal practice on Banbury Road has recently undergone a full refurbishment, giving our traditional converted house a fresh, modern feel. Inside, you’ll find a spacious waiting room with separate areas for cats and dogs, four consult rooms (including one dedicated to nurse consults), a bright and well-equipped prep area, and a fully functional operating theatre.
We also have a dedicated dispensary behind reception, a well-stocked in-house laboratory with full IDEXX machines, and all the tools you need to provide excellent care including laparoscopy, dental X-ray, endoscope, bronchoscope, ultrasound, and more.
Varied Caseload and Dedicated Surgery Time
We offer a great balance of consulting and surgery, with dedicated operating mornings and a caseload that includes cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries, and the occasional exotic. Surgeries range from routine procedures such as lap spays and lump removals to more advanced dental cases, including referrals from other practices.
If you prefer a consult-only role, we’re happy to explore that option too, flexibility is important to us.
Flexible patterns that work for you
This is a part time role working up to 28 hours per week. Hours are split over 3 days (8:30am - 6:30pm) plus 1:4 Saturdays 8am-12pm which is sole charge. No Sundays, Bank Holidays, or OOH ensuring a great work life balance.
A Supportive and Skilled Team
Our close-knit team is what truly makes Croft Vets special. We’re a friendly and collaborative group of 4 Vets, 3 RVNs, 3 SVNs, and 7 Client Care Team members, several of whom have been with us for over 20 years. Our nurses are hands-on in theatre, run their own consults, and play an active role in patient care.
We also have certificate holders in Medicine and Dentistry, and we’re more than happy to support anyone looking to work toward a qualification or further develop their skills. One of our RVNs volunteers with a local wildlife centre, so we also see a variety of wildlife cases from hedgehogs to birds of prey.
Community Connections and Charity Work
We love being part of the Brackley community and regularly work with local charities such as Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Cats Protection, and The Cinnamon Trust. Giving back is an important part of who we are, and we take pride in helping animals both inside and outside our practice.
