We would welcome applicants with a medical or surgical bias and case work up as well as certificate/CPD is actively encouraged and supported. Our caseload mainly consists of SA however you can see some exotics if this is an interest of yours. We want to ensure you feel supported, we can offer you the encouragement, challenge and support to achieve your personal and professional aspirations.  
 
We also have plenty of space if you would like to bring your dog to work with you!
 
We are ISFM accredited and are a Silver - rated Cat Friendly small animal practice. We are based in a great location with excellent links to the M3/M4, (45 minutes’ drive to Heathrow and only 1 hour to the South coast), Basingstoke is also only a 40-minute train to London.
 
We have separate cat and dog kennels, 2 consult rooms and an ops theatre and we are well equipped with Digital X-Ray, Idexx ProCyteOne, Catalyst and brand new Ultrasound machine and dental radiography.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. 

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you. 

Work/life balance is a priority of ours, therefore flexible working is absolutely considered. For example, we could look to accommodate reduced working days and flexible hours to suit you. Any other preference such as particular days off, mornings, evenings – just ask – we can discuss the options. 
 
Typically, the full-time position is 40 hours with a Saturday morning rota and no OOH. We would also welcome part time applicants.  
 

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring: 

A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS 
Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases 
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues 
A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development 
Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
