Beaumont Vets in Exeter is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive, and progressive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established single-site practice where clinical freedom is valued and professional development is encouraged.
As a close-knit practice, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where every team member is supported to thrive. You'll have the opportunity to manage your own caseload, build strong client relationships, and work cases up to a high standard, while benefiting from the reassurance of nearby referral centres when specialist input is required.
You'll be working alongside our Lead Veterinary Surgeon, Tshidi Gardener, who serves on the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Board, as well as a collaborative team of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, Client Care colleagues, and our Practice Director. The practice also benefits from in-house ophthalmology certificate expertise, fostering a culture of shared knowledge, clinical discussion, and continuous learning.
The role offers an excellent balance of consultations and surgery, providing exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload that includes cats, dogs, and small furries. Surgical procedures are primarily routine first-opinion cases, allowing you to maintain and develop your surgical skills, while established referral pathways ensure access to specialist support whenever needed.
We've made significant investments in our facilities and equipment to ensure our team can provide the highest standard of patient care. The practice is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, dental radiography, laparoscopic equipment, and a recently installed dental machine, giving you access to the tools needed to confidently diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of cases.
As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
