We are looking to recruit a 3+ year qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our wonderful team at Highfield Vets. We are a close-knit team where you will be supported by 5 vets, 7 RVN's and 2 SVN's.  We have many long-standing staff members as well as clients and we pride ourselves in having a real family feel.  

 
 

Practice Highlights

 
We are a busy first opinion practice and work at a high clinical standard; we are both a cat and dog friendly practice and adhere to these standards.  
 
We have an in-house lab, multiparameter monitoring machines, ultrasound, dental and normal x-rays.  You will be supported by certificate holders in surgery, imaging and medicine.

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. 

 

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

 

Key Responsibilities

 
We are looking for someone passionate in animal welfare, with excellent communication skills and a high standard of veterinary care. We would like someone to be confident in sole charge: there is one late shift a week (until 7pm) and a 1 in 6 Saturday rota (8:30am-3:30pm).

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
