White Cross Vets have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical bias to join our friendly team on a permanent basis. This role is based at our Coulby practice. There is also scope for progression in this role to join as a Senior Vet Surgeon.

We are ideally looking for a full time team member however due to our flexible approach to rota patterns this vacancy is suitable to both full-time and part-time applicants.  We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern we can fix or flex our patterns to suit you. 
A typical full time role would involve 40 hours per week,over 4 days plus inclusion within the Saturday rota.

Our Coulby Practice is in a great location, only 15 minutes away from the North York Moors and within an hour of Leeds, York and Newcastle. A great location if you like getting out in the fresh air with major cities right on your doorstep too! 
We're a high standard practice where there is a great opportunity to work up and manage cases to full potential, with access to a dull in-house laboratory, microscopy, ultrasonography (including cardiac ultrasound, ECG, access to endoscopy and dental x-ray – as well as support form experienced colleagues. We also have a tonopen and multiparameters.

In all the clinical and non-clinical aspects we have strong support on site throughout the week. We also have an experienced clinic director who has years of experience working with Whitecross vets and holds a certificate in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging, including cardiac ultrasound, and a nursing team full of passion and ability. Our team have a GPCert in Surgery and are studying towards their GP Certificates in medicine, so we tackle a great variety of cases. We also run our own Nurse Clinics and encourage our Nurses to make full use of their clinical training and skills! We are also proud to have Nurses who recently won the Hills Senior Nurse of the Year and the Hills Weight Management Nurse of the Year!
