Here at White Cross Vets, Wolstanton, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team. We’re keen to offer a role that matches your own interests, because of this, we can tailor the caseload to your own clinical bias, tell us what you’re looking for and we will try our hardest to make it happen! White Cross are committed to ensuring that you receive the necessary development to better your clinical skills with full certificate support. We can offer up to £5000 for relocation support.

We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance, whether you are looking for a full time or part time role we are sure we can find the right rota pattern for you. A typical full time role would involve a 40 hours per week. We are very open to chatting with those who are looking for less hours or flexible working pattern. Currently, there is no weekend work required, however this may change in the future. Best of all? No OOH is required for this role! The clinic opens from 08:00 - 18:00 with phones being transferred to Vets Now to ensure everyone gets away on time, whenever possible.

About us


Wolstanton is a practice with great facilities including 4 consult rooms, cat ward, dog ward, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and access to endoscope if needed, an Imagyst machine for in house cytology analysis, meaning we can get results back from FNAs etc within 2 hours, as well access to SignalPet which uses artificial intelligence to provide support interpreting radiographs. You’ll be working alongside our wonderful nurse team, we have 2 vets who have been qualified for 2-15 years.  We hold the ISFM silver award for cat care and the IVC Evidensia patient safety award. Our veterinary team enjoy all aspects of general veterinary practice. High-quality clinical care is of utmost importance to the team, they even thoroughly enjoy staged dentals. The clinical team, routinely conduct audits, ensuring that they are always working towards gold standard first opinion pet care.

Strong Support for Amazing Care 


We have a very strong management team who are keen to train and develop our team. We have a clinical lead nurse who is responsible for maintaining our patient safety awards and promoting clinical improvement and quality of care. We hold regular practice, vet, nurse and reception meetings for open discussion. We're also a cat friendly clinic and offer certificate opportunities for personal development, ensuring there is a 12-month plan of in house CPD of the teams chosen subject areas.
