At Gatehouse, part of inspiring vet care, we are a busy, well-established, veterinary practice located in the West of Yorkshire we are a short drive away from the Yorkshire Dales and Bronte Country. We are closely located to good travel networks and links and pride ourselves on our excellent teamwork and inpatient care.

We have 3 sites across West Yorkshire all well equipped with Ultrasound, endoscope, x-ray equipment, dental suites. We are a gold standard ISFM certified cat-friendly practice with a silver certificate for rabbits and have been rated outstanding in several practice standards scheme awards. 


Our caseload is very varied, and our team has lots of different interests. With some team members undergoing further training by certificates and some having those that have achieved certification status, Gatehouse offers a fantastic level of support on a wider group level and allows us to grow and develop a higher quality first opinion pet care.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     

    As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

     

    You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

     
     

    Working Pattern

     
  • 40 hours per week
  • 4 days per week
  • 1:4 Saturday morning only (8:30-13:00)

    You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:

     
  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
