An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team across two well-established practices in Wotton-under-Edge and Thornbury.

As part of a large and respected veterinary group, you will work alongside an experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses, delivering high-quality first-opinion care to a loyal client base.

Both branches are well-equipped surgeries offering excellent facilities and a varied caseload. The practices are fully supported by, and closely linked to, fully equipped 24/7 first-opinion hospital and referral centre, providing access to advanced diagnostics, inpatient care, emergency services, and a wide range of referral disciplines.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     

    As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

     

    You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     
  • Supporting both our Wotton-under-Edge and Thornbury branches
    Performing routine consults and surgeries, and supporting with other cases as needed
  • Be confident in delivering high standards of first-opinion practice 

  •  
    Working Hours

  • Full time, 40 hours per week, we can discuss part time for the right candidate
    Working 4 days a week 
    1:9 weekends

    You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:

     
  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A passion for delivering excellent patient and client care
