Are you looking for a role where you can thrive in a supportive environment, enjoy a great balance of consulting and surgery, and be part of a passionate and friendly team? We’d love to hear from you.

Why Choose Cedarwood Vets?

Our medium-sized, small animal practice is well-equipped with four consult rooms, separate cat and dog wards, a prep theatre, imaging and dental suites, and a spacious office area. We recently upgraded our reception area and have exciting plans to remodel our operating spaces to enhance our facilities even further. While we primarily see dogs and cats, we also treat some exotic pets.

The role offers an even 50/50 split between consultations and surgery, though we’re happy to accommodate vets with a preference for either. Surgeries typically include routine procedures, advanced dentals, and more complex cases, with support available for further development. We strive to keep as much in-house as possible and also collaborate with other IVC practices to ensure the best patient care.

Our fantastic nursing team plays a key role in the practice, covering all aspects of general nursing while also running their own consults, including puppy and kitten checks, six-month health checks, wellness screenings, and dietary management.

Develop your career and find your people

You’ll be joining a talented and supportive team of three vets, six nurses, and four support team members, including a certificate holder in ECC, as well as team members currently working towards certificates in cardiology and dentistry. We also have access to visiting specialists in orthopaedics, scanning, and ophthalmology when needed.

If you’re interested in pursuing a certificate, we’re happy to support and fund your development.

We’re also passionate about giving back to the community and regularly collaborate with the RSPCA to provide care for animals in need.

Build your career around you

We offer flexible working patterns that flex with you and your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life. We can offer flexibility that works for all team members.

The working week will be 40 hours over 4 or 5 days, with 1 in 4 weekends and no OOH.
