Salary up to £50,000 DOE
We are a welcoming team striving to do the best for the animals under our care but also looking out for each other.
We have an emergency and critical care certificate holder, a GPcert small animal medicine holder and someone working towards a medicine certificate, we also have a vast experience of soft tissue surgery between us, although at present we leave the more complicated orthopedics to peripatetic vets, so an interest in orthopedics will be encouraged. We see a variety of cases including small furries and wildlife.
Rota up to 40 hours a week over 4 or 5 days with one Saturday morning in five, No ooh ( Vets now on site )
Our nurses are very motivated , one with a post grad medicine qualification and one in anaesthesia, with another with an interest in surgery and starting her course.
We have digital Xray, endoscope, hand held dental Xray , Humphrie's anaesthetic circuits and separate cat, dog and isolation kennels
We are a two-branch surgery so one day a week you will be at our smaller branch with a nurse and a receptionist.
We have Vets Now in our building for out of hours and weekends but do a Saturday morning surgery which is on a 1 in 5 rota with time off in lieu the next week.
The area has great transport links, is near Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby for city life but also is very near the peak district, with great dog walks locally plus an award-winning ice cream shop
