Be part of something special

Tern Vets was established over 100 years ago as a mixed practice in Market Drayton. Our Newport branch is purpose built and has a friendly team with a family feel.

We have well equipped consulting rooms, 2 operating theatres, imaging suite with xray ultrasound and endoscopy, laparoscopic bitch spay equipment, Tonopen and dental facilities.

North Shropshire has the advantage of being rural and beautiful, perfect for dog walking, horse riding, wild water swimming, mountain biking etc., whilst being within easy access of Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, for night life, shopping, concerts and airports. The larger city of Chester and town of Shrewsbury are also an easy commute.

Meet like-minded professionals

We have a full time equivalent of 4.5 vets, made up of full and part time team members and 4.5 RVNs plus excellent student nurses from Harper Keele University. Our vets and nurses are supported by an experienced and amazing reception team. Our veterinary team holds certificates in Feline Medicine, Small Animal Medicine, Surgery, Nutrition and Cardiology currently in progress.

We are cat friendly and work hard to ensure that our patients feel as comfortable as possible, even if that means consulting in the carpark or waiting room. Many of our clients are long standing and we work hard to foster great relationships with them.

Whilst we offer support to all vets, the ideal candidate for the current role would be experienced to balance the team. Certificate holder not essential but welcomed, confident and competent in independent consulting and routine surgery such as bitch spays.
