We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Summergrove Vets (part of Summerhill group). You will be sole charge, supported by our experienced RVN, 2 Receptionists, a Care Assistant, a Supervisor and a Practice Manager. As you will be part of a larger group, you will always have access to a wealth of expertise and experience (including certificate holders).
Duties include:
Examining and observing animals to diagnose health problems and assess their healthPerforming laboratory tests on samples and specimensDressing and treating wounds, performing surgery and prescribing medicationTesting for diseases and administering vaccinationsPerforming ultrasound and diagnostic imaging testsAdvising animal owners on preventive healthcare, general care and nutritionSpaying and neutering dogs and catsMaintaining medical records of animals

Join us in the perfect location
You will be joining our Summerview clinic, part of a group of 8 practices based in South Wales. We are in a fantastic location, in the heart of the Malpas community, just off the motorway with easy access to Bristol, Cardiff and Newport. We are also situated near local amenities with parking outside the practice.
Summergrove has a welcoming waiting/reception area. The consulting room has all the essentials within it and a separate dispensing area. Our prep room has multi-purpose use of nurse room and theatre. We have a separate kennel area, Lab/ storage room and separate spacious kitchen/staff room.
