Salary up to £70,000, Welcome bonus up to £5,000 & Relocation allowance up to £5,000
Due to one of our Vets desires to go travelling to New Zealand we have a position opening for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team!
Heartland Veterinary Service has 2 branches and is a truly mixed animal practice in Highland Perthshire within easy reach of both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Ideally, we would like this position to be filled by a Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon but are willing to also consider the right Small Animal Vet.
Rota
The job role consists of 40 hours per week Monday - Friday with a 1 in 5 out of hours rota (1 weeknight a week and 1 in 5 weekends) with no additional Saturday Mornings!
We offer a flexible approach to working hours as we know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Many of our staff members already take advantage of our flexible working approach, and although ideally, we would prefer a full time Veterinary Surgeon to fill the role; for the right candidate we would consider part time hours.
About us
Both our branches are stocked with the usual toys including Digital X-ray & Ultrasound. But we are also proud to have a Companion Therapy laser, Stance Analyser, PRP therapy kit, Brand New Bull Fertility testing equipment and Motorised Equine Dental Equipment among other things.
Across both practices we have a strong team of 6 Vets, supported by 3 registered veterinary nurses, 1 student veterinary nurses and a Practice Manager.
We are a close-knit team that enjoy social outings, as well as the time we spend together in practice, and have a very friendly client base!
Aberfeldy and Pitlochry are a brilliant base to access the beautiful Scottish Highlands as well as offering plenty of local walks, close by Munros and a great area for anybody who enjoys outdoor water sports such as Kayaking and Paddleboarding.
