How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. 
 
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

De Montfort Veterinary Hospital are an RCVS-accredited practice that’s located in the growing market town of Evesham. The team consists of 4 FTE vets, 7.5 FTE RVNs and 1 SVN. In addition to De Montfort’s clinical staff, they’re supported by an outstanding support team who play a vital role in helping to maintain the highest standards of care. The hospital is a Veterinary Nurse training centre, as well as being a ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic (Gold Award). The clinical team brings together a diverse range of certificate holders and areas of special interest, including medicine, dentistry, ECC, surgery, feline nursing and behavioural work. You can expect all the equipment and technology you'd find in a modern hospital including: digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and IDEXX analysers, to name just a few.

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:

 
  • A Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS with significant experience in small or mixed animal practice, with advanced surgical and medical capability 
  • Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, and supporting veterinary colleagues 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills 
  • Experience contributing to or leading clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives 
  • The ability to manage clinical complaints and provide professional guidance in complex situations 
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the highest standards of patient and client care
