Beaumont Veterinary Centre, part of ivc, is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, progressive team in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established single-site practice where clinical freedom is genuinely encouraged, collaboration comes naturally and your professional development is a priority. Whether you're looking to broaden your clinical skills or take the next step in your career, you'll be supported every step of the way.
If you enjoy the diversity of first-opinion practice, you'll love the rewarding caseload on offer at Beaumont. You'll care for a wide range of patients including cats, dogs and small furries, with an excellent balance of consultations and surgery. You'll have the opportunity to work your cases up to a high standard, build lasting relationships with clients and enjoy the continuity of care that makes general practice so fulfilling, with established referral pathways available whenever specialist support is needed.
You'll be joining a close-knit team of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, Client Care colleagues and our Practice Director, all working together to deliver exceptional patient care. Our Lead Veterinary Surgeon is a member of the RCVS Board, and with an in-house ophthalmology certificate holder, you'll be surrounded by experienced clinicians who enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting one another. Clinical discussion, collaboration and continuous learning are central to our culture.
Our modern practice is equipped with everything you need to deliver outstanding clinical care, including ultrasound, digital and dental radiography, laparoscopic equipment and a recently installed dental machine. Combined with our strong referral network, you'll have the confidence and support to manage a broad range of medical and surgical cases.
Full-time hours are worked across four 10-hour shifts, with part-time applications also welcomed. The rota includes just 1:3 Saturday mornings (8:00am–1:00pm), with no out-of-hours or on-call.
