We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Highcroft Vets on a full-time or part-time basis.

 

Highcroft Vets is a well-established two-branch small-animal practice, offering a rewarding mix of medical, surgical, and preventive care. Our main practice in Hailsham is the hub for consultations, surgery, diagnostics, and urgent care, providing a varied caseload in a modern, well-equipped environment.

The practice features a spacious clinical area, dedicated theatre, radiology and dental suites, an in-house laboratory, comfortable kennels and cattery, and a secure garden area designed for patient exercise and enrichment, ensuring you have everything you need to provide outstanding patient care.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

 

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

 

Working Pattern

 
  • 40 hours per week, although we can accept part-time hours for the right applicant
  • Monday - Friday between 8 am - 9 pm 
  • 1:6 Saturday mornings 8:30 am - 12:30 pm  with a half day during the week

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
