We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our amazing small animal and exotics team!

We are based at two sites: Chorlton and Sale, with our Avian and Exotic referral clinic at Chorlton. We are a supportive, caring, busy practice with fantastic teamwork. Our cases are varied, and so are the species of patients we care for. If you are looking for a position where no two days are the same, the patients come in literally all shapes and sizes, and you enjoy working within a friendly knowledgeable large team, this is the practice for you!

What are we looking for?


We are looking for someone who is organised, adaptable, and dependable, who is able to work in a fast-paced environment, and within a large team, as well as independently.

The Job Role


Duties for this role will include; admits, assisting vets in surgery, anaesthesia, discharges, inpatient care, nurse clinics, consult team, pharmacy, ward nurse, recovery, countersigning the medication box, nurse messages, cleaning, restocking, washing, kits, reception work and of course client care. This is a great opportunity to work with a wide variety of species, to a high standard, and be part of a friendly and supportive practice.

The rota is designed to give a great work life balance with the 40 hours being spread over 4 days a week Monday to Friday. Plus weekends 1 in 4/5

1x 8am-4pm

1x 8am-4:30pm


Then a day off each week on rotation.

Saturday 8am -12pm

Working the above shifts with a share of bank holidays each year (mornings only).

Out of hours on call work 1 in 5 weekends and midweek nights for an additional salary supplement. This would be paid to you each month as part of your salary. The salary advertised reflects this additional amount. Nurses are called out to the practice as needed. This means that should you not get called out, you still receive the supplement for that shift.
