We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at The Barn Veterinary Practice on a full-time or part-time basis.

 

At The Barn Veterinary Practice, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional, compassionate care to our patients while creating a welcoming and personal experience for their owners. Our team of 7 RVNs and 1 VCA are highly experienced, with a number of the team working for us for 20, 25 and 30+ years! We’re keen to support our nurses in developing their individual interests and skills, so if there’s an area of veterinary nursing you’re particularly passionate about, we’d love to help you pursue it.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

 

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

1:7), weekends consist of 0830-1230 Saturday, 0930-1230 Sunday, Friday off given following worked weekend

Working Pattern

 
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 7.5-hour shifts Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 am - 7:30 pm 
  • 1:7 weekends, working 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Saturday and 9:30 am - 12:30 pm Sunday, with the following Friday off

    General Responsibilities

     
  • Providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient nursing care
    Supporting our veterinary surgeons with consultations and procedures
    Anaesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
    Inpatient care and medical monitoring
    Surgical preparation and assisting
    Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare
    Client education and advice
    Maintaining excellent standards of patient care and practice hygiene
    Contributing to the continued development of our nursing services
    Helping us to support our charity connections with our 3 weekly off-site charity clinics
    Working between our Copdock and Ashcroft Road (Ipswich) branches
