About the role
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Woodlands Veterinary Centre. A day in the life of a WVC nurse, aside from the mandatory consumption of cakes and ice creams, would ultimately depend on the four key areas of practice: Theatre, Kennels, Prep, and Consultation. This variety keeps your day interesting and gives you as much clinical exposure as possible.
A Day in the Life of a Woodland RVN
Our nurses rotate across four key areas – Theatre, Kennels, Prep, and Consultation – ensuring you gain a broad range of experience while keeping your days diverse and engaging. Led by our highly experienced Head Nurse, our team supports each other in delivering excellent care.
We offer flexible working patterns, whether you prefer a four-day or five-day week, with shifts of either 8am–6pm or 9am–7pm (discussed at interview). With no out-of-hours and only a shared Saturday morning rota (1:8 Saturday mornings 8am–2pm, we ensure a fantastic work-life

Our recently refurbished kennels include separate dog and cat wards to improve patient welfare, and we are well-equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound (with cardiac and abdominal probes), laser therapy, ECG, endoscopy, and more.
