We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Riverside Vets on a full-time basis.
Riverside Vets is an established, friendly practice with a strong team culture and a genuine focus on collaboration, wellbeing and development. As we prepare to move into our new site in Milford, near Belper, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a practice entering a new phase of growth and investment.
Our new building will feature separate dog and cat wards and waiting areas, a dedicated dental suite with dental x-ray, multiple theatres, upgraded imaging and in-house laboratory facilities. You’ll also benefit from a spacious staff environment, including a staff room, offices and riverside outdoor space. We are also planning to launch our Cat Friendly Status project once settled into the new site.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm (40 hours)
1 in 3 Saturday mornings
Flexible rota options available
General responsibilities include:
Deliver nursing care across theatre, inpatient and consultation settings
Support anaesthesia, surgery and advanced procedures including dental imaging
Run nurse clinics and provide preventative healthcare advice
Contribute to clinical improvement projects and practice development
Support patient care across a varied first opinion caseload

Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
