We are currently looking for a permanent full-time or part-time sole-charge Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, and enthusiastic, want to use their nursing skills to their full potential and are keen to develop their knowledge and skills.
A qualified RVN should promote good staff morale and a positive culture, whilst leading by example, and motivating the team towards the common goal of achieving excellence across clinical nursing standards.

You will be supporting the Veterinary Surgeon with consultations and procedures, nursing day patients, stock control, and infection control. We particularly encourage progression, and development and welcome new ideas/ways of working. This will suit someone who wants or who already has been involved in driving a practice forward.
Duties include:
•Ensuring high standards of nursing care in accordance with the RCVS guide to veterinary nursing.
•Excelling at high-quality veterinary service and communication at all times
•Ensuring good preventative healthcare knowledge and veterinary understanding to be able to advise clients accordingly and recognise and act on pet emergencies.
•Ensuring your service level in the reception and waiting area excels at first impressions to foster excellent client relations, interaction and engagement.

Cockfosters Veterinary Surgery is a well-equipped small animal practice which is part of and supported by Wood Street Veterinary Hospital. The practice is located very close to London transport links and the M25, as well as local shops and a country park!
You will be the sole registered nurse working alongside our Veterinary Surgeon and reception team.
