We are seeking an experienced, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Hillman Vets in Cannock on a part-time basis.
 
Hillman Vets is a 100% small animal practice based in the West Midlands. This role will be based primarily at our Cannock branch, a busy one-vet practice offering a full range of treatments and a varied caseload.
 
Our Veterinary Surgeon has a keen interest in exotics, meaning the team sees a wide range of patients alongside our small animal caseload. This is a great opportunity for an RVN who enjoys variety, client interaction and being fully involved in the clinical day.

  • Full nurse clinics, including health checks, second vaccinations, anal gland expression, nail clips, weight checks, microchipping and wellness screenings

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     
    As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
     
    You’ll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
     

    Working Pattern

     
  • 20 hours per week
  • Wednesday and Thursday, working 8:30am-7:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
  • 1 in 5 Saturday rota, working 9:00am-1:00pm at our Arboretum branch
  • No out-of-hours requirements

    General Responsibilities

     
  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
  • Run nurse clinics, including health checks, second vaccinations, weight checks, microchipping and wellness screenings
  • Support preventative healthcare, including nail clips and anal gland expression
  • Assist with clinical procedures and patient care throughout the day

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
