Varied nursing role across inpatient care, theatre, admissions and nurse consultations
Opportunity to support surgical workflow, including IV catheter placement, pre-operative blood tests and patient monitoring
Nurse-led services including Safari consultations and wellness screens
Nurse training practice supporting apprentice nurses and degree-placement students
40 hours per week
Full-time role with early and late shifts on a rota basis between 8:30am-7:30pm
1 in 3 Saturday mornings
No out-of-hours requirements
Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
Support inpatient care, including patient monitoring and recovery
Assist with admissions, IV catheter placement and pre-operative blood tests
Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at De Montford Veterinary Hospital on a full-time basis.
De Montford Veterinary Hospital is a supportive and busy practice where our nursing team plays a vital role in delivering high standards of patient and client care. This is a varied opportunity for an RVN who enjoys being involved across all areas of the clinical day, including inpatient care, theatre, admissions, nurse consultations and patient monitoring.
You’ll be joining a collaborative team with a strong focus on clinical standards, teamwork and patient wellbeing. As a nurse training practice, we are also passionate about supporting the development of future veterinary nurses, with opportunities to contribute to student support, supervision and mentoring.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
