Registered Veterinary Nurse

White Cross Vets, Balby, Doncaster, Yorkshire & The Humber

Discipline: Small Animal

Part Time, Flexible

Up to £30,000 pro rata DOE

Apply
White Cross Vets are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Balby, Doncaster. This role is based at our busy first opinion practice alongside our fantastic team of certificate holders in a range of different disciplines.

What the day looks like?

We can tailor the role to you! On an average day you will be assisting the vets during surgical procedures, monitoring anaesthesia and dealing with post operative recovery. Providing in patient care, carry out diagnostic tests, conducting nurse clinics, assisting with dental hygiene procedures to name a few. Should you be looking for further support and further development (certificates, training etc) we can also accommodate this.

Fix or flex – find your perfect balance

We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you.

This role is 30 hours per week – however, we're also looking keen to hear from those looking for something more flexible. We are currently open 08:00am to 12:30pm on Saturday mornings, and therefore you would be required to work a share of these.

Meet the Team at Balby

We currently have 4 Veterinary Surgeons with Certificates in Internal Medicine, Dentistry and Surgery and have recently been joined by a new graduate!  We have a fabulous team of 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses with certificates in Anaesthesia, Behaviour, ECC and Physiotherapy. In addition, we have 2 outstanding SVN’s and VCA. We have a clinical lead nurse as well as a head nurse who are both deeply passionate about quality. We are open to supporting CPD and any areas you are passionate about developing in. We are passionate about teaching and enjoy being a training practice for SVN placements.

Our front of house team is second to none who have fantastic relationships with our clients and keep all vets and nurses organised too! As a team, we work to a very high standard of care, we routinely conduct clinical audits and change our ways of working to ensure patient safety is the very top of our priority list! We are passionate about teaching and enjoy being a training practice for SVN placements. Despite all the hard work and passion for the pets we look after, we ensure we find time for wellbeing and team building. Our Wellbeing afternoons in clinic include everything from BB gun target practice in the car park (with cardboard targets!) to arts and crafts.

You'll struggle to find a team who has each other’s backs and genuinely enjoy working and supporting each other (and having a good laugh in the process!), as much as White Cross Vets, Balby.

The Practice

We're close to the A1 with great public transport links. Close to Doncaster & Sheffield for those interested in the city life! Our practice contains a surgical suite, separate dental suite with dental x-ray, fully equipped in house lab, digital x-ray, high quality ultrasound scanner, HT vista mass scanner, 4 consulting rooms, dual stationed prep room, isolation room and a car park! We have cat friendly status with a separate cat waiting area.
