Location: Gorey Veterinary Hospital, Co. Wexford

Salary: Up to €35,000 DOE

Hours: 40 hours per week over 5 days | Shifts: 8:30am-5:30pm or 9:30am-6:30pm | 1 in 4 Saturdays | No Out of Hours

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work closely with two experienced veterinary nurses and a team of six vets, rotating through surgery and ward nursing shifts to build a broad skillset. You'll have the chance to utilise your nursing skills to their full potential in a modern, well-equipped facility. The role offers a structured and predictable rota, with no out-of-hours work and one Saturday in four.

This position provides fantastic opportunities for career development, including structured CPD support, mentoring, and access to advanced clinical training, regardless of your current level of experience.

Gorey Veterinary Hospital is a long-established practice that has recently benefited from significant investment. We pride ourselves on providing top-tier veterinary care with a strong emphasis on teamwork and client relationships. Our facilities include digital radiography, modern multiparameter monitors, ultrasound, and upgraded clinical equipment. We also have a dedicated support team of four receptionists who ensure the smooth running of the practice, allowing our clinical team to focus on patient care. What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will be registered or eligible for registration with the VCI in 2026. You should show excellent communication skills and have a warm, empathetic approach to both animals and clients.
