Join Our Friendly Nursing Team at Walton Lodge Vets
Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a role where you can truly make a difference? At Walton Lodge Veterinary Group in Hoddesdon, we’re on the lookout for a confident and caring RVN to join our welcoming and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a practice that values your skills, encourages your professional growth, and always puts patient care at the heart of everything we do.
A Role Where You’ll Really Get Stuck In
As an RVN with us, you’ll play a key role across all aspects of nursing from theatre and radiography to patient care, nurse clinics, and supporting more complex cases alongside our vets. No two days are ever the same, and you’ll be encouraged to use your full range of skills while contributing to our continued high standards of clinical excellence. Whether you’re monitoring anaesthetics, assisting in surgery, or supporting clients with nurse consults, you’ll be part of a team that genuinely values what you bring to the table.
A Balanced Working Week
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, which can be worked over four or five days, giving you flexibility in how your week is structured. You’ll take part in a 1-in-7 Saturday rota (9am–2pm at our Ware Hospital) with time off in lieu, and there are no out-of-hours or bank holiday shifts, allowing you to enjoy a great work-life balance. This position would be sole charge.
A Practice with Pride and Purpose
Founded in 2000 by Helen Lee BVSc, MRCVS and Rodney Pugh, Walton Lodge has grown into a trusted veterinary group with six surgeries across Bengeo, Bishop’s Stortford, Harlow, Hoddesdon, Stevenage, and Ware. Our team is proud to be RCVS-accredited, delivering high-quality care across all our sites.
At Hoddesdon, you’ll have access to fantastic facilities including digital x-ray, colour Doppler ultrasound, digital endoscopy, advanced dental equipment, ECG, and full anaesthetic monitoring systems. You’ll also benefit from the support of certificate-holding clinicians based at our Ware Hospital, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in interesting and complex cases that will help you grow your confidence and expertise.
A Supportive Team That Feels Like Family
Our team of experienced vets and skilled veterinary nurses work hand in hand to provide the very best care for our patients. You’ll be joining a group of professionals who take pride in what they do, who love to share knowledge, and who look out for one another. It’s a genuinely friendly environment where teamwork and laughter are part of the daily routine.
Grow, Thrive, and Love What You Do
At Walton Lodge, we understand the importance of feeling valued and supported in your role. Whether you’re looking to refine your clinical skills, explore a new area of interest, or simply enjoy being part of a collaborative team, we’ll help you get there.
