Shape the Future of a Growing Practice

Cockfosters Veterinary Surgery in Greater London is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. Whether you’re seeking full-time or part-time hours, this is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of your role, make a real difference, and help shape the future of a developing practice supported by Wood Street Veterinary Hospital.

Role Details

As our sole charge RVN, you’ll work alongside our Veterinary Surgeon and reception team to deliver exceptional standards of care and service. Your role will involve supporting consultations and procedures, nursing day patients, maintaining stock control, and upholding infection control standards.
You’ll be encouraged to use your nursing skills to their fullest and contribute ideas that help the practice grow and improve. This position suits someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to be hands-on in a close-knit environment.

Work Schedule

This role can be full or part-time, with flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Full-time hours are 40 per week across 8-hour shifts starting from 8am. We’re happy to discuss flexible working patterns for the right candidate.

About the Practice

Cockfosters Veterinary Surgery is a well-equipped small animal practice located close to London transport links, the M25, local shops, and a country park. We’re proud to be part of Wood Street Veterinary Hospital, which provides additional support, resources, and expertise.
You’ll be part of a practice that values collaboration, openness, and growth. We particularly encourage progression, development, and fresh ideas — this is the ideal role for someone who enjoys the buzz of helping a practice thrive.

  • Confident working independently and leading by example
  • Passionate about delivering high standards of care and communication
  • Committed to fostering a positive team culture and supporting colleagues
  • Experience in a start-up or sole charge setting would be an advantage, but not essential — we’ll provide all the support you need to succeed.
