We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Barrow Hill Veterinary Hospital on a full-time or part-time basis.
Barrow Hill Veterinary Centre is a purpose-built, multi-site practice based in Ashford, Kent, with branches in New Romney and Hythe. Our teams work across all four sites, with out-of-hours care supported by nearby VetsNow, helping to maintain a strong work–life balance.
We are well equipped with modern facilities, including digital and dental X-ray, CT scanning, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, and a K-laser, alongside dedicated dog, cat, and isolation wards. We are also entering an exciting phase of development, with a planned refurbishment to further enhance our Ashford site.
Our culture is supportive and collaborative, with a strong focus on CPD, clinical excellence, and staff wellbeing. We hold regular clinical discussions and actively promote a healthy, sustainable working environment. Ideally located in Ashford, we are close to the coast, Eurotunnel, Canterbury, and excellent transport links via Ashford International.

A typical full time role comprises either 4 x 10-hour days or 5 x 8-hour days at your preference between the hours of 08:00-20:00, after which our out-of-hours cases are transferred to VetsNow. You will also participate in a 1:4 Saturday rota, with a weekday off in lieu where applicable. If you are looking for part-time hours, we are happy to discuss your requirements in further detail on application.
General responsibilities include:
Carrying out nurse clinics
Supporting the wider clinical team across kennel duties, theatre assistance, and surgical procedures
