Your working day would include:

We can provide an excellent work life balance with 4pm finishes 3 days a week. Our full time Nurses do 5 x 8 hours shifts a week and we would consider full or part time applicants. There will be no out of hours duties required and 1:6 weekends with TOIL. Individual interests are supported and encouraged.
About Cogges Vets
Cogges Veterinary Surgery is a well-established, community practice in West Oxfordshire. Our single site, small animal practice was first set up in 1993 and we joined IVC in 2019. We have all the necessary equipment to provide a high level of clinical care including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and in house Idexx machines.
Our clients are some of the nicest you’ll find - many have been with the practice since its inception, and we get a good uptake of services.

We have a fantastic team of 6 experienced Vets, 10 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, and a fully staffed Reception team - many of our team have been with us over a decade.
Our Vets have over 80 years of experience in clinical practice between us as well as ophthalmology and internal medicine certificates and two working towards diagnostic imaging certificates. We have been nominated as our areas Centre of Clinical Excellence and Centre of Operational Excellence. We were IVC's 2nd Positive Pawprint partner and also won the IVC QI award in 2023.
What we look for in a Nurse
We are looking for a friendly team-player who enjoys the varied caseload of first opinion practice. You would need clear communication skills as our nurses provide valued advice to our clients and do admit/discharge appointments. Fear free handling skills for all species are a must and we value a genuine passion for your role.
