We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Birch Vets on a part-time basis.

You’ll be part of a close-knit, experienced team who work collaboratively to provide a smooth and positive experience for both patients and clients.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time position (approximately 26 hours per week over 3 days) with a shared weekend rota shift of 9-2.

General Responsibilities

This is a hands-on nursing position within a well established first opinion environment, where no two days are the same.

You’ll be actively involved in:

Surgical nursing, including anaesthesia and monitoring
Inpatient care and recovery management
Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics
Supporting clinical standards and patient safety
Delivering excellent, clear communication with clients

Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS

Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
