We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Wherry Vets in Bungay on a full-time basis. Part-time applications will also be considered for the right candidate.
 
Wherry Vets is a well-established small animal practice based in the Suffolk town of Bungay. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive practice with a varied caseload and a strong focus on delivering excellent patient and client care.
 
You’ll be joining a dedicated nursing team of four qualified Veterinary Nurses and one Animal Care Assistant, working collaboratively with the wider practice team to support the smooth running of the clinical day.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     
    As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
     
    You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
     

    Working Pattern

     
  • 40 hours per week
  • Opening hours are 8:00am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
  • No on-call requirements

    General Responsibilities

     
  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
  • Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare and client education
  • Assist with diagnostics, including laboratory work, x-ray, dental x-ray and ultrasound support

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
