We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Brownlow Vets on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload, including assisting in surgeries and consultations. Our team boasts a wealth of experience, including colleagues with advanced qualifications in surgery, emergency and critical care. You will work closely with our dedicated Veterinary Surgeons and Support Staff, all of whom share a strong commitment to animal welfare.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     
    As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
     
    You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
     

    Working Pattern

  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week
  • 4 days a week - Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:30pm, with Tuesdays off
  • 1:3 Saturdays, 8:30am - 1:00pm
  • Shifts will be worked across two sites - Brownlow Vets Pets Ellesmere and Border Vets Pets Oswestry
  • No out-of-hours

    General Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
  • Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
