Build a Career Where Your Nursing Skills Really Matter

Auburn Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team in Mullingar.

Whether you're a newly qualified nurse looking to build confidence and gain hands-on experience, or an experienced RVN seeking a new challenge, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a busy and rewarding clinical environment. We welcome applications from nurses at all stages of their professional journey and are committed to helping every team member reach their full potential.

This is a practice where nurses are actively involved in patient care and encouraged to utilise their skills across all areas of nursing. You'll gain valuable exposure to a varied caseload, work closely with experienced veterinary colleagues and have the opportunity to develop confidence in both routine and advanced nursing procedures. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, learning and being part of a collaborative team.

A Varied Role with Excellent Clinical Exposure

This position offers the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of first-opinion nursing, allowing you to build a broad and rewarding skill set.

You'll play an important role in delivering high standards of patient care, supporting both medical and surgical cases from admission through to discharge. Your responsibilities will include inpatient care, anaesthesia monitoring, assisting in theatre, nurse consultations, laboratory work, preparing surgical equipment and kits, patient recovery, client communication and supporting the smooth running of the practice on a daily basis.

We are passionate about ensuring our nurses are empowered to use their clinical skills and continue developing throughout their careers. For newly qualified nurses, this role provides excellent mentorship and support from an experienced team. For more experienced nurses, there are opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, pursue areas of clinical interest and continue expanding your expertise.

Develop Your Career in the Direction You Choose

At Auburn Veterinary Hospital, we believe every nurse should have the opportunity to pursue the areas of practice they are most passionate about.

Whether your interests lie in surgery, anaesthesia, medical nursing, behaviour, nutrition, emergency and critical care, dentistry or another specialist area, we'll support you in achieving your goals. We are committed to investing in our people and are proud to offer full funding for further qualifications, certificates and professional development opportunities.

This is a practice where career progression is actively encouraged, and where ambition and enthusiasm are recognised and supported. If you're looking for a role that offers genuine opportunities to grow and develop, you'll find plenty of support here.

Join a Team That Feels Like Family

Our team is made up of six Veterinary Surgeons, four Veterinary Nurses and an excellent support team who all play a vital role in creating the positive culture we're proud of today.

We believe that providing exceptional patient care starts with supporting one another. Collaboration, respect and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do, and every member of the team is valued for the contribution they make. Whether we're working through a busy consultation list, caring for hospitalised patients or supporting each other with challenging cases, there's a genuine sense of camaraderie throughout the practice.

You'll be joining a welcoming team of like-minded professionals who are passionate about veterinary care and committed to helping each other succeed.
