AllPets Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Nurse to join our busy, modern small animal hospital in Drogheda. This is a permanent opportunity within a large, experienced team where learning is part of everyday life and support is always close at hand.
Whether you’re newly qualified or bring years of experience, this is a role where you’ll be encouraged to develop your skills, build confidence, and shape a career that suits your interests.
Working in a well-equipped, high-standard hospital setting, you’ll be involved across all aspects of nursing - from theatre and anaesthesia to inpatient care, consults, and client support.
For newer graduates, this is an ideal place to start. You’ll be surrounded by experienced vets and nurses who are invested in your development, offering guidance, mentoring, and hands-on support as you build your confidence in clinical practice.
For more experienced nurses, the opportunity here is to take your skills further. With access to advanced equipment, a varied caseload, and colleagues with certifications across multiple disciplines, you’ll have the environment and support to refine your expertise and develop a clinical niche.
We actively support professional development at every stage. If you have a particular area of interest; whether that’s anaesthesia, ECC, medicine, dentistry or beyond; you’ll be encouraged to pursue it.
We offer full funding for postgraduate certificates, alongside a strong culture of continuous learning through in-house training, coaching, and collaboration with highly experienced clinicians.
This is a practice where your ambition is supported, not limited.
AllPets is home to a large, friendly, and highly skilled team, including multiple veterinary surgeons and nurses with additional certifications in areas such as surgery, medicine, dentistry and ECC.
You’ll be working in an environment where teamwork is central, communication is open, and everyone plays a valued role in delivering excellent patient care. It’s a place where you can ask questions, share ideas, and feel genuinely supported day to day.
Our Drogheda hospital is fully equipped to support high-quality veterinary care, with digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, and excellent surgical facilities.
We are also proud to be a Gold-accredited ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic, reflecting our commitment to patient welfare and clinical excellence.
This is a full-time role, typically based around a 37.5-hour working week. Our rota is designed to be fair and sustainable, with a shared weekend commitment and no overnight out-of-hours work.
We are also open to discussing part-time or flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle and commitments.
Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll benefit from a comprehensive package designed to support your wellbeing and career progression. This includes:
22 days annual leave entitlement
Birthday leave
Paid Maternity, Paternity and Adoptive leave packages
Cycle to work scheme
EAP and wellbeing centre access
Paid bereavement leave
Company sick pay
