Imagine being part of a passionate, supportive team working across two state-of-the-art sites nestled near the beautiful Fylde Coast in Lancashire — at Norcross Lane (Thornton) and Hambleton.
At Moy Vets, no two days are the same! From consulting and inpatient care to theatre, dentals, and Schedule 3 procedures, your skills will shine. Plus, you’ll get to run your own daily nurse clinics, with special interests warmly welcomed and encouraged.
Grow With Us — Support, Skills, and Specialisation
Join a thriving nursing team of 14 RVNs and 5 ACAs, many holding certificates or working towards advanced qualifications. You’ll collaborate closely with a veterinary team of 10 and a supportive crew of 15. We truly value nursing expertise and offer established nurse clinics, opportunities for further development, nurse-led dental staging, K-laser therapy, and exciting plans to expand nurse-led Schedule 3 operations days — perfect for those hungry to advance their skills.
Our in-house out-of-hours service and dedicated inpatient night nurse team mean you’re part of a practice that handles a wide range of emergency cases with confidence.
Work Where Innovation Meets Care
Moy Vets combines a friendly, multicultural atmosphere with cutting-edge facilities — digital radiography, a dental suite, multiple surgical theatres, Idexx lab equipment, ultrasound, endoscopy, K-laser therapy, and advanced monitoring tech — all designed to help you deliver the best care possible.
Balance Your Career and Life
Enjoy a full-time, 40-hour week typically scheduled over four days, with a rotating day off—or a fixed day off if that suits you better. Our weekend rota operates on a 1-in-6 basis, featuring brief Saturday and Sunday morning shifts plus on-call duties until 7pm, with retainer and call-out fees paid in addition to your salary.
We also welcome part-time and flexible working arrangements to support your work-life balance.
With the recent expansion of our services, we have established a dedicated nursing team to cover out-of-hours shifts during weeknights and weekends, ensuring that you will not be required to undertake these duties.
